[almost] free food
<<We` 03.27.02 - 10:24 pm>>

Hell yeah. We hit the jackpot. This is one of the many great things about living in an apartment (besides free water and sewage, not having to mow a lawn, property taxes, etc., etc.). The other day we got a $5 gift certificate for Boston Market in our mail. Now, Aaron and I love Boston Market. You get a fucking delicious meal for cheap. Five bucks covers about 95% of a meal, so it's pretty much free. (I paid a total of 31 cents for a nice grilled chicken salad, for example.) Anyway, living in an aparment complex.. lots of people like to throw away their junk mail in the convenient garbage can located right next to all the mailboxes. And.. Aaron had an idea...

Oh yes.

We did.

We got 26 of those 5 dollar certificates in all. They last until the end of next month.

Mm-mm, scrumptious.

Plus, we also got a coupon for a free salad or sandwich at Crisper's. And we got a total of six of those now..

Free food. And almost free food. Gotta love it.

Oh! Anndd.. Today was the mandatory meeting/kickoff party for the new bp connect I'm working at. (Yeah, I went anyway and still made it to my 2:00 pm class.) We got to have free food from the Wild Bean Cafe they have there. Omigod, their sandwiches and cookies and pastries 'n stuff are soooooo fucking GOOD! I had "Manhattan Chicken Foccacia." It was a grilled chicken breast with this awesome lemon pepper garlic spread and arugala, wow that stuff's so good.. but the foccacia, that was the best part of it. The bread had this, like, garlic butter taste to it with actual lit'l crystals of salt and, I dunno, some kind of stems of something, maybe arugala stems..? But.. god, it was good. When I have money, I plan on eating there often.

But for now.. free food it is.
