He asked me if I would be okay with him going to dinner with one of his ex-girlfriends.
I told him, "sure."
Then he reminded me of how, if the reverse situation were to happen, he wouldn't let me go to dinner with my ex.
I paused. And told him, "I would go anyway."
Fuck telling me what to do. I can do something regardless of whether or not somebody lets me do it.
I am still my own person. An equal. Not a subordinate.
