Before it fades, I wanted to post a beautiful quote I encountered from erato:
"You learn in time that it is as futile to lock away the past as it is to hold on to it. Time is non-linear. We do not pass through time. Time is conduced through us. The experience melts into us, changing us.
We forgive. But we never forget."
And..
"The past is as much a part of who we are as genetics. One can only deny the color of their eyes until they remove their contact lenses."
I loved this. She has such talent.. Definitely leaving me with something to ponder.. and that's the greatest gift any of you talented writers in diaryland can give. As well as a beautiful affirmation of something we have believed or knew for some time, but could never put to words quite so deftly.
